WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR PORTRAIT SITTING:
LOCATION
I am a location photographer, which means I come to you. So we can shoot at your house, a park, or almost anywhere you'd like (a $25 travel fee applies to locations outside the Portland Metro area, or if you want to fly me somewhere, I'm up for that too)
CLOTHING
Wear what compliments your skin tone, you feel good in, and that might look nice hanging up on your living room wall. For family portraits, try not to be too matchy-matchy and try to avoid wearing anything with large logos.
PAYMENT
Please have the session fee ready on the day of the shoot. I can accept a check, cash or card.
IF YOU HAVE LITTLE ONES
I have them too, so I understand how unbelievably cute they are and also that a two hour photo shoot might be a challenge for them. For a session with wee ones under 5 years old, it's a good idea to shift your expectations a little bit. We WILL get lots of beautiful, fun, authentic, candid shots of your kiddos and some very tender shots of you interacting and cuddling with them. However, we may not get all of you sitting still and smiling at the camera in unison. It has little to do with my skill as a photographer or your skill as a parent and everything to do with the nature of these wonderful little people. But I can promise you will cherish these memories we capture forever. I try to keep sessions with little kids on the shorter side, and especially short for newborns.
AFTER THE SHOOT
The photos will take up to 2 weeks to process and edit and will be uploaded to heatherhawksfordphoto.zenfolio.com in your personal gallery listed under "Client Access." You may order prints and canvas directly from your gallery.
RETAKES
I do not offer retakes but I will make every effort to reschedule our appointment if circumstances predict an unfavorable shoot. Please make sure you are prepared for our session and allow us at least 2 hours for it. Additional retouching is available upon request for a fee.
